Frostberry Sweater is a textured sweater featuring elegant cables and playful bobbles that create a beautifully detailed look. It has a slightly oversized fit, with approximately 10 cm / 4 inches of positive ease in the smaller sizes and slightly less in the larger sizes.

The sweater is worked from the top down, holding one strand of alpaca wool together with one strand of silk mohair. This creates a light and airy fabric with beautiful stitch definition. With a gauge of 17 stitches / 24 rows on 5 mm / US 8 needles, the design works well with a wide variety of yarn combinations.

Frostberry is a fun and engaging project with plenty of variety in the techniques used – interesting to knit without being overly challenging. The back is worked first to the underarms. Stitches are cast on for the neckline, with increases worked gradually on either side to shape the shoulders. Stitches for the front pieces are then picked up along the shoulders and worked separately. Once the fronts and back have reached the same length, all three sections are joined and the body is worked in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked from the top down. Finally, the V-neck is finished with a ribbed neckband.

The pattern includes charts as well as clear instructions for working the textured stitch patterns.

Frostberry Sweater is part of the Frostberry collection, which includes a sweater, cardigan, scarf and hat.

When you purchase the pattern, you will receive a folder containing both the English and Norwegian versions.
