Heartleaf Sweater is a feminine sweater with a vintage-inspired feel and beautiful textured details. The decorative lace pattern resembles heart-shaped leaves, giving the design a soft and romantic look.

The silhouette is classic with a modern twist – slightly oversized with comfortable positive ease. The sweater features a raw hem, creating a subtle bell-shaped silhouette through the body.

The sweater is worked with one strand of silk mohair held together with one strand of merino on 4 mm / US 6 needles.

The body is worked in the round from the bottom up before the front and back are separated and worked back and forth individually. Stitches for the sleeves are then picked up around the armholes and worked from the top down, making it easy to adjust the sleeve length as you go. The pattern includes two neckline options: a classic V-neck or a keyhole neckline with ties at the front.

Despite its intricate appearance, the lace pattern is surprisingly easy to knit. The repeat is worked over just six rows, with yarn overs and knit-three-together decreases used on only two of the pattern rows. The pattern quickly becomes intuitive and, after a few repeats, practically knits itself!
