Seashells Scarf is a small, textured scarf featuring rows of bobbles and lace. The scarf is worked sideways, gradually increasing towards the centre. It is worked in two pieces, which are sewn together at the end. Both a chart and written instructions are included in the pattern.

  • The sample shown in the pattern is worked with one strand of Sandnes Garn Alpakka Silke held together with one strand of DROPS Kid-Silk on 4 mm / US 6 needles.

  • Alternatively, the scarf can be worked with a single strand of yarn without a lace-weight companion yarn; in this case, 3.5 mm / US 4 needles are recommended.

For a scarf measuring approximately 105–120 cm / 41.3–47.2 inches, you will need one skein of each yarn, approximately 50 g of alpaca yarn and 25 g of Kid-Silk. This length allows the scarf to be wrapped twice around the neck.

The larger, dark pink version is worked from the same pattern using DROPS Air. You will two skeins to knit the larger version, approximately 70 g of yarn in total.

When you purchase the pattern, you will receive a folder containing both the English and Norwegian versions.
